There is enormous commercial potential in your blog if you just apply the correct leverage. As I explained in my previous post there are many ways to make money using your blog which will both benefit you (this is the make money part) and your customers who will gain valuable information.

Let’s look at some more ways to make money

• Make money with Video Ads – You can embed a short video ad into your post. These can play automatically or manually. My advice here would be to make them manual. Automatic ones can be extremely annoying. You can see several examples in other post in my blog.

• Make money with Payments for Posts – You can write posts that specifically mention or review products and or services for a fee. My advice here is that you should be totally upfront and declare that you have a commercial interest, not to do so would be unethical and if you are found out then your relationship with your readers will suffer. • Make money by creating a Directory – You can simply create a directory and charge for being listed. My advice here would be to create the listing free of charge and then charge for additional services, like enhanced listings etc.

• Make money by selling adverts – You can charge for customers putting their own articles promoting a product on your blog. Once again you should make sure that they are clearly marked as an advert.

• Make money with adverts in videos – – Create a video for youtube. Not only can this be used to Market your own product but you could also charge for including a short ad at the beginning or the end of the video.

• Make money by selling classified ads – Charge a user for placing a classified ad on your blog for a set period of time.

• Make Money with Dropship Sales – Sell products from your blog that are stocked and shipped by the manufacturer. There are numerous manufacturers that do this. Here is one that you can check out www.theselect.co.uk

• Make money with Premium Content – If you have a good following and you are knowledgeable in your area then you could offer extended or premium content for a fee. This could be a one off payment or a monthly membership.

• Make money with an Online Course – Make a subscription service to an online or email course. Each part could be available or delivered weekly or monthly.

Ok so there you have some more ideas of how to make money.

Now comes the surprising conclusion to these posts.

DON’T DO THEM!

So why did I tell you about them? They are all sound, you could make money out of all of them, so why am I telling you not to?

The answer is in fact a very simple one – I want you to succeed and if you try all of the suggestions that I have given you over the past couple of posts then I guarantee you will fail.

There are two main reasons why people fail to make money on the internet and they are
•    Failure to take action
•    Information overload.

Failure to take action speaks for itself really. You get information or a product intending to use it but never quite get around to finishing or implementing it. You don’t set yourself a goal or targets and consequently you fail.
Information overload (and this is a killer) happens all of the time. You get bombarded with offers over and over again all promising you that this is the one that will make money for you. Forget the rest this will make you millions within the month.

Of course it’s all hype, some will make money and some won’t make money. The fatal thing here is that you simply spread yourself too thinly and end up never completing anything.

There is a trend at the moment that when a product is being sold you get a mountain of extra bonuses. You think it looks great. Fantastic value for money, just look at all of those bonuses I’m going to get.
The simple truth is that you are being done a disservice. You are being overloaded with information yet again. How much time will it take you to wade through all of the products/eBooks you have just bought? The answer is ages, and by the time you have just started then something else comes along that promises you the earth which looks plausible so you must have it, and the cycle goes on. You never actually complete anything and therefore you do not make money.

If you listen to nothing else I say then please take this onboard. Don’t get sucked into information overload. If you do then you won’t get anywhere.

Stick to basic principles. Don’t try to run to fast. Choose an achievable goal k to it until it is finished.
Then and only then should you move on to the next thing.
It is essential that you have multiple revenue streams but build them slowly overtime. You simply cannot put everything in place by the end of the week.

There is no doubt that you can make money, just concentrate, do one thing at a time, and finish what you start.

So how do you Make Money. The simple truth is that there are numerous ways to make money on-line, but to be truly successful you have to do it in multiple different ways.

I sure that you have all heard the phase “Don’t keep all of your eggs in one basket” well that holds true for internet marketing as well. It is common sense not to concentrate in one area to make money. If you do, then should that area ever dry up your sole source of making money will be gone.

To make money consistently and safely you need to spread your endeavours wider in many different areas. See my article “The Plate spinner’s guide”

Let’s look at some ideas of how you can effectively make money

MAKING MONEY Basics

(1) Make money on eBay
If you are having difficulty getting traffic then eBay is a good place to start because the traffic is already there to start with. Millions of people shop and make money on eBay everyday.

Avoid the common mistakes. To make money on eBay you need to maximise the profits that you make from the sale. So “How do I do that?” I hear you ask. Well the answer rather depends on what you are selling.

If you are selling physical products then the first thing you need to do is learn how to buy (or manufacture) low and sell high.

You can actually make as much money (if not more) with a good auction listing for a second hand item than you can with a brand new one. The trick here is all about sourcing the item you are selling for the right price in the first place and then presenting it in the right way in your auction.
You can use software with you can buy called “Auction snipers” which effectively make you bid at the last possible moment, thus securing you the best deal possible. Alternately you can opt to do it manually. eBay will tell you via a search which auctions are about the complete. It is then just a matter of going to that item and bidding yourself. You can do it but the split second timing here is obviously more difficult doing it manually.
Now we get to presentation. If you want to make money on eBay then it is not enough just to secure the item you want to sell at the right (low) price.
You also have to present it in the best possible light. It is vitally important that you get the title right for the item you want to make money with. Let’s look at the following example:

Ipod Nano 4GB
New Apple Ipod Nano 4GB Black MP3 Player (I Pod 4 GB)
You will find an awful lot of adverts on eBay in the first format, and that’s good – for you that is, because when people list there auction like this they are not going to rate very well in a search on eBay.
On the other hand if you have an Ipod for sale and use the second type of title then you will rate very well on a search because you have more search terms in your title. If you adopt this type of approach on eBay for making money then you will get approximately 5 times the amount of traffic than the title in the first listing. That’s 5 times the number of bidders.

(2) Make money with On-line Surveys
I have to be honest here; I have mixed feelings about on-line surveys mainly because I have heard good and bad reports as to the ultimate outcome of the experience.  So I’m not recommending them but I’m not saying they are not good either. My advice here would be that if you want to give them a try then there are a lot of them out there but do so with some caution. Remember, the bottom line is “Time is money” and if you are spending a lot of time doing surveys for little or no return then it is not a very effective way to make money.

(3) Make money with your version of a bootsale
I’m sure you have all been to Bootsales. You occasionally find some good items there but most of the time it’s just rubbish – or is it? The point is that what one person decides is rubbish another might consider it a treasured find. Sort out all of those old or unused items that you have cluttering up your loft and spare room. Spruce them up a little to present them in their best light in a photograph and get them in an auction on eBay. You might be pleasantly surprised at the results.
I actually read that an old television remote control was sold on eBay recently for $55. This was a remote control that would otherwise have been thrown away. You see you never can tell.

(4) Make money by recommendation
There are numerous service providers that either pay you or reduce your own subscription if you promote their service to other people. These could be your family, friends, or colleagues. You are subscribing to it anyway so it is not as if you would be recommending anything that you do not believe in personally.
Some examples of making money in this way are

• Recommend a friend to the Alliance Leicester and get £50   Alliance and Leicester

• Recommend a friend to Standard life Healthcare and get £50   Standard life healthcare

• Recommend a friend to Sky TV and either get a free Sky Plus box or £50 in M&S vouchers Sky.com

• Recommend a friend to T-Mobile and you get £50 to share with your friend and you also get free calls for 3 months www.t-mobile.co.uk

• Recommend a friend to Next and get £20 (and your friend gets £15) after than for every friend you recommend you get another £20 up to a maximum of £60 and after than for every recommendation you get £20 credit www.next.co.uk

• Recommend a friend, colleague, or relative to Fashion and retail Personnel and when they place them into a new permanent position you’ll get £200’s worth of vouchers for a store of your choice. If they’re placed into any kind of temporary position that lasts more than 3 months, you’ll receive £50’s worth of vouchers. www.fashionpersonnel.co.uk

These are just the tip of the iceberg. There are hundreds of these types of offers out there.

(5)  Make money with Unclaimed Benefits
Ok so you will not actually make money here but you could recover money that you are legitimately entitled to. You might be surprised to learn that there is more than £8 billion in unclaimed benefits sitting in government bank accounts. Most of this more is tied up in pension credits, but there are unclaimed working tax credits, housing and council tax credits and even child tax credits. If there is the slightest possibility that you might be eligible then use the following websites
www.EntitledTo.co.uk to calculate what you should be receiving to see if you are eligible for further help. Simply enter details about your earnings, savings and tax expenses online; should you be entitled to more, visit the HM Revenue and Customs website, on how to claim.
(6) Make money using your blog
There are dozens of ways of making money with your blog, check out a few of the examples below:
Make money with Advertising

• Make Money with Adsense – The obvious first away to make money is text adverts. Adsense is free to join and easy to set-up.

• Make money with Banner and button ads around your content.

• Make money with Paid Reviews – charge companies or individuals to review their book, product or service. Check out www.apennyearned.co.uk

• Make money with Sponsorship – You can charge for sponsorship for all or part of your website. You will only be able to do this when your blog is receiving lots of traffic but you will usually get a fixed price agreement for a fixed period of time.

• Make money with Commission For Events Promotion – You could promote events in your industry or niche in exchange for a commission on leads that you generate.

• Make money with eBooks and or Software sales – you can sell these and they can be downloaded over the internet. You could also include research material, reports, music, video clips, etc. Go and check out Clickbank.com and you will find hundreds of downloadable products in all kinds of niches to make money from.

• Make money with your own physical products – This can be more effort than the download able product, but in many instances it can still be fully automated. You also have the added incentive here that a physical product will have a higher perceived value.

• Make money with Merchandising – If you have plenty of traffic coming to your site then this is a good option to go for. To sell branded merchandise you could try out CafePress.com

• Make money with Pay Per View – You could sell one-off access to a service you could offer – information, reports, white papers etc, www.cafepress.com

Last time we looked at make money with google adsense. We have also looked at Monetize your traffic in your blog the easy way this time we are going to look at another way of making money using Amazon.
There are all sorts of affiliate programs that you can be involved with that show you how to earn money but the one I am about to tell you about is just about as simple as it gets.

How to make fast money

Thousands of people buy the following every day

• books
• DVD’s
• music
• cads
• computers
• electronics bargains
• gifts

Well, now you can sell them as well in your very own shop. A shop that you can set-up through Amazons affiliate programs.

You do not need to know and HTML, JavaScript, PHP, or any other technology. All you need to do is go along to Amazon and signup as an affiliate. Once you have done that then you can simple set-up you very own shop and you are ready to make money with Amazon.

When anyone buys from Amazon through your shop then you can earn up to 15% in commission as an affiliate.

I have been through the process and it take no more that about 20 minutes to signup as an affiliate and then build your shop ready for customers to buy discount books, music, playstation 3, dvd’s, cds, gifts.

The shop has a full shopping basket integrated into it so a customer can buy as much or as little as they wish.

In fact you can buy just about anything. You do not even have to have a shop if you do not want one. You can single out specific products that you would like to promote and the just link to them with your affiliate ID in the link.

It is very easy to set-up and just another revenue stream that you can use to make money online.

If you would like to make some money on the internet and you are new, do not even have any products, then you need to read on. The trick is “Make Money With Google AdSense“. Even if you have a website(s) already you would be absolutely crazy to ignore this.

Whatever you do, do not pay anything for get rich quick ebooks or products that promise to make money for your instantly. Quite simply if anyone tells you that you can be a millionaire in no time flat then you should be running in the other direction just as fast as you can. It’s all hype!

Make Money With Google AdSense, what is it?

Google.com earns most of its revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. All this is managed through a program they call AdWords.

Now you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by displaying these same text ads on your site.  In other words, you’re helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.

This program is called AdSense and it is an easy way to make money on-line

Now every solitary website owner should be at the very minimum considering using AdSense if not actively taking part. Adsense could at least be making money and funding the cost of your website if nothing else.

Your website does not have to be selling anything to use AdSense.

Make Money With Google AdSense – how AdSense Works.

You go through the simple process of applying for an AdSense account; it’s totally free to apply. Once you have applied, Google will get back to you (Usually within 48 hours) and if you are accepted then they provide you with your account details.

Now you can start putting the AdSense advertisements on your Website/Blog. They can take the form of graphics or words, it is really very easy.

Every time anyone clicks on one of the adverts then you will get paid by Google.

The amount of money you will earn is also dependant on the amount of targeted traffic you receive to your own site. You must match your audience’s interests, the placement of the ads on your pages, and of course the amount you receive per click. The amount will vary depending on the subject matter of the advert and how much has been bid for the keyword in the first place.

Ideally, you should create a site on a topic you know a lot about.  That way you’ll have a much easier time creating a generous amount of content on that subject.

Make Money With Google AdSense – maximise your revenue

For years, website owners have tried to make money from their sites by putting up banner ads in hopes of visitors clicking them. The problem with banner ads is that the Internet audience is now practically immune to them unless the odd one catches their eye so you are not likey to make money this way.

Just think back and try to remember the last time you clicked on a banner add.

The other problem with a banner add is that even if the person visiting your site clicks on the add, they then they still have to purchase something on the other side before you get paid anything. With AdSense just clicking the add will put money in your pocket.

Another problem is matching the banner add to the content of your site. With Adsense you can opt for text ads which have a much higher click through rate and the ads are also contextual so they always match the content of your site.

Make Money With Google AdSense – Setting up your website

The first thing you have to do is decide on your niche and then begin writing your posts/articles. The more you have before you make your application to Google then the greater the chance of being accepted.

The easiest way to start by far is to use a blog. There are lots of options here. You could go for a free account at blogger.com or set-up your own Wordpress blog it you already have a web presence.

I’ve actually used both methods for building my Blogs and both are fairly straight forwards.

The blogger option is the easiest, go to www.blogger.com sign-up for a free account and then just follow the instructions. There are full instructions there as well of how to set-up AdSense on your blog.

The Wordpress method is also fairly easy especially if you have cPanel. Most cPanel hosting uses fantasico. If you have that then installing Wordpress is just a few clicks away. You then just have to set-up your blog the way you want it to look. It’s more do it yourself this way but you have far more control than the blogger option.

I hope that has given you a taste of how to Make Money With Google AdSense. I’ll go into more detail with part 2 in the next post.

I know, it looks fairly garish doesn’t it but you get the point. You have full control over the colour. The theme of the ad that I selected above was “Generating Traffic” The plug-in then just selects and constructs an appropriate ad for the topic selected.
